Our mission consist in the preservation of this environment
Promote Marinagri as an ecotourist destination is the main focus of our project . Regularly we involve residents and visitors in our activities on the environmental protection about the delicate marine ecosystem of the Ionian Sea. We understood the value of this land and the great importance to deliverit intact to the new generations. We developed campaigns to educate our guests on the environmental awareness, recycling and sustainable mobility. The Marine Area is subject of study by the Department of Applied Ecology and Fisheries Biology of the Tor Vergatain Rome, directed by Prof. Stefano Cataudella. Many people visit the nature reserve to see the local fauna and flora, that offer exclusive shows in each seasons with colors always new.
The Botanical Garden was created to protect a centuries-old Mediterranean wood characterized by typical essences and the local fauna.
The Ornithological Park with some observation spots, is the home for a numerous species of birds such as the “Cavaliered’Italia”, Cormorants, Shelduck, Ducks, Flamingos, Swans, who have chosen Marinagri as the best place to nest.
The Golf Reserve was born around the golf course and actually preserves the flood plain of the River Agri with thickets lapping the beach.
The Marina Lagoon connects all these environments to the sea andit is navigable only rowing and swimming. Thanks to the continuous and natural flow of water regenerates itself continuously in a few days, providing the opportunity to practice a controlled fishing. 36 kilometers of roads and paths connect the different environments, it is a privilege to enjoy these areas on foot, on bike or on horseback.
